Finally managed our first Icelandic wild camp on the road from Höfn to Djúpivogur. We found a great little spot, tucked away behind a rock, high up on a hill above the ring road.
After a drizzly day, the sun came out in time for us to put up camp and have dinner. Once we were safely tucked in bed in our tent it poured, and continued raining right through to around 8am, where the rain let up and the sun came out for us to pack up a relatively dry tent. The weather gods must have been smiling down on us.

You take beautiful photos! Love Iceland, it’s my favorite country. Looking forward to following your blog.

It’s great here, but the weather is definitely challenging! It’s the wind that’s the hardest. Seems like every day has a headwind…..
