Arrived in Reykjavík yesterday afternoon.  Sunny skies, 18 degrees and no wind.  I understand that’s not the norm, so we’re enjoying it while we can!  We spent the day relaxing, route planning and stocking up.  Our original intention had been to head for the highlands – across to Landmannalauggar.  However, I’ve managed to convince Matt that we should take it a little easier to begin with, so we’re now planning on catching a bus out of Reykjavík tomorrow to Hvolsvöllur, and then sticking a little closer to the ring road as we head south west.

PS – the post that looks a bit like a tardis is acually a self cleaning toilet. Takes longer to clean than to mess it up!
