Bavaria is giving France a run for its money for pastry paradise. After our fantastic experience with the Müller Bakeri, we’ve continued to find pasty delights! These are two of my favourites, but there have been plenty more to give me my pastry fixes (I’m back to 2-3 pastries per day, and may be the only person in history to gain weight while cycle touring)

Sultana swirl – a very plain buttery pastry, with custard overtones. Not too sweet, with just a smattering of dried fruit. Four stars.

Crescent – pie pastry surrounding a dried fruit and nut filling. Comes with or without chocolate ends, and makes an awesome breakfast! 4 stars.

Bavaria just keeps giving!
