The sun came out today and stayed out for most of the day. This is the first really sunny day we’ve had in some time and the temperature even stayed above ten degrees all day!
Today we cycled around the first of the Fjords in the east of Iceland. It’s much greener here and there are even some trees. The fjords are huge, with massive towering cliffs, waterfalls everywhere and snow covered peaks all around.
We did relatively easy (by Icelandic standards) 45 km – however it still involved finishing the day with a nice 20 km into a strong headwind. Much to Alli’s delight we ended up around a kilometre from where we started on the opposite side of the fjord.

On a side note, Alli reached her first 1000 km today….only 9000 more to go!
